When you cancel my flight (same one), twice, on two consecutive days and do not express even the least bit of empathy; this is what you get. Of course, considering my narrow flying experience, this conclusion is at best, hasty. Knowing my country for what it is, I honestly cannot expect much better behaviour from any other organisation operating in the aviation transport space.

Having said that, I will now go ahead to narrate my ordeal in the hands of Aero contractors airline.

ORDEAL
- My return (Aero contractors) flight from Uyo to Lagos was originally scheduled for (last) Tuesday afternoon

- I received an SMS message from Aero on Monday afternoon, announcing the cancellation of my Tuesday flight. The message cited "Operational reasons".

- Since I wouldn't let this bad news ruin my amazing Monday, I called Aero's customer service line (+234 1 628 4140) on Tuesday morning. I took the only option I had: have the flight rescheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

- On Tuesday afternoon, I got a replica of the SMS message I'd received on Monday afternoon, except that it was now my Wednesday flight that had been cancelled.

This is a follow up to my initial rant on the new parking fees being charged at the Palms shopping mall, Lekki.

I was at the mall this morning to get some stuff and was expecting to, as usual, just:

• Drive in
• Shop for less than thirty minutes
• Drive out for free with a cheapskate satisfied smirk on my face

Unfortunately, as I drove in today, this happened:

This is just so unfair. So, this means I'll have to start parking outside the mall, whenever I just wanna grab something quick on a weekend day. Same trick I use at Jakande, if you know what I mean.

This morning, as I lay on the mattress, opposite the bedside mirror, I noticed how a spot on my face which had held a rather large pimple just a day before was now flat and almost dried out. In that moment, it returned to me how once upon a time, for many consecutive years, there was hardly any spot on my face that was acne free.

Those days, when every day of my life was pure hell. Non-stop taunting, so much so, I often fantasized about scraping my face free of all the ugly bumps, using a razor blade. And this fantasy was not borne out of creativity, no; I started to consider it from the day a particularly 'resourceful' classmate recommended it as a solution.

Nowadays, the worst I have to deal with is a couple of bumps scattered around my face. By habit, I treat my pimples the same way I have, since I learned to care for my face in the dark ages. I will offer a few tips below for caring for an acne-ridden face, of which the first one is really the most important:
